One of my favorite installations from this year's Burning Man. Steve tracked people entering/exiting from it. It would assign people to instruments and then mix sound based on movement.

Pretty awesome.

The software stack they were using is recorded on my iPhone. I'm going to see about assembling it for the fun of it. One is this funky visual programming language for music :)

That's interesting - I didn't know there was a funky visual language for music. I wonder if it's something that everyone uses and I'm just out of the loop...

Derek Sivers put out an idea that he's contractually obligated not to work on (since he sold cdbaby): a program that lets you update all your social networking sites from your own website - including music, lyrics, photos and video.

A guy responded that he and a few friends were working on it but the back end issues were daunting. Made me think you might find it interesting...
