Public Right Aways

This afternoon I walked over with a friend to pick up his daughter from school. To get to the school you walk across the "public right away".

What was neat about this?

For all of the fences there were different sorts of methods to get past the gate without opening the gate. We had these V shaped gates where I grew up, but that was about it (well... the fancier horse farms have these gates which can only be opened while on horse back).

Enjoy the photos :)

I was wondering if you could ride a bike... I guess not. Lots of signs posted about keeping dogs on leashes.

As a kid, it isn't a school cross-country run without a few of these obstacles. And of course, don't forget the mud. Lots of mud.

It was worse when it was cold enough to freeze the ground solid.
