Speaking as someone who buys a lot of Apple technology.
If Google can get Android out,
... and it is close to being on par with iPhone
... and it comes out as a 3G device with no vendor lock-in
... before Apple's June date for their 3G,
... or close to it
...
The decision of "which phone to get next" might be a lot harder.

Though I'm interested to see how Google will support hardware. (as in, interested to observe their customer service interactions)
