Emacs must Die, Gosling

So after 20+ years Gosling realizes that Emacs was not the way to go?

I figure eventually that everyone realizes that the evolution path for editors just leads back to vi!

I still use vi for most things, actually vim. But I have to say somedays on the Mac in the GUI I end up using TextMate for all the bundled shortcuts. Just lazy some days when mindlessly editing markups for the wiki's I have to use.

Now if I could just remove emac from all the loads with out a small handful of developers going crazy. I wonder how much disk space emac take on a Centos 5 based system with all of its dependencies.
