The hotel should know that I am "Brian Aker"

It should be able to tell me if other friends are booked here, and that I am happy for them to know about me being here.

It should know that I want a non-smoking room.

It should know that I do not want the newspaper.

Most importantly?

It should know that I do not want starch put in my laundry.

Very high end hotels do this sort of thing already.

My friend zzbottom used to be the after-hours manager of a very high end hotel in Boston, and his description of the lengths they to to customize their customers experience was mind blowing.

And most of there very well-heeled guests probably never realized how much work the rest of the world goes to to make their own lives feel so effortless.
