Six Degrees of...

After years of joining every social network that has been put in place, what is new about Facebook for me?

I seem to have reconnected with some of the people I knew from High School.

Sort of odd....

Facebook is the one system that a significant number of people I know locally, just do not want to sign up for.

Because they are tired of signing up to every social system that has been written.

At the time, there was no good way to reply to tweets. That changed.

I still maintain that Leo Laporte didn't really need to leave twitter to protect TWiT. There never was any confusion between the two.

"Whistling in the dark" made me smile. Reminds that Alan Herrell once quipped that twitter "disguises motion as activity".

I don't find that I am replying that often to anyone's twitter conversation (or that I get into conversations from it).

Alan's quote sounds on the mark. I've used it now a couple of times as a way to stream free form thought, but most of the time it is just the random comment. If I figured out the IM -> twitter it might get a bit more traction with me.
