I just noticed on the Maemo Blog:

The update (version number 4.2007.26-8) includes Skype client support, Adobe® Flash® 9 browser plug-in

Skype! Not having Skype support has been one of the reasons I have been resisting buying a N800. Last night, before I saw this announcement, I finally broke down and bought one. I've got a lot of traveling to do in the next three months and I've decided that I won't be taking my laptop on every adventure. My experience at Foocamp of not taking it along has pushed me to believe that I concentrate on my environments better when I don't have it (aka I don't whip up new code instead of paying attention to my surroundings). I am still going to travel with it, but I am going to try to leave it in my room a bit more often.

Years ago I tried at one OSCON to make use of a Zaurus. The screen was just too small, and the battery died quickly. I just recently pitched my Zaurus.

Hopefully the N800 turns out to be more useful :)
