Namely the little ball that you put in the tub to remove oil from the
water. It got sucked into the pump.
If you look at the intake pipe, the piece coming into the left of the
pump, it was stuck there. This was keeping water from circulating.
Annoying, but once I had the water out of the tub, it was pretty easy
to remove the plumbing and get at the pump. I had to buy a new wrench
to do this. All of my large wrenches are metal, and they would have
torn up the fittings on the pump.
So I am now the proud owner of a belt wrench :)
Nifty little tool. You can fit the strap around the device and then
use torque from pull motion to turn the object. I've got something
similar I have used for years on oil filters, but it is metal and has
to be fit over the fitting. The belt wrench can be wrapped around the
fitting, which means it will go into all sorts of spots that a normal
oil wrench can't get to.
Now I just need a stuck jar to see if it will work in the kitchen!
