My iPhone Predictions

« previous entry | next entry »
Jul. 1st, 2007 | 10:42 pm

Sometime in the next six to 12 months a bad guy will use one with its
web interface to trigger a bomb.

I would also place odds that within the next 12 to 24 months, some
kid will hack an alien ship to stop an invasion of earth with an iPhone.

Movies count.

And here you only thought you only read my blog for advice on
databases and hacking right?

Saw the latest Die Hard film today... it was good... but very painful...

So... when are you going to re-home your new Treo and pick up an iPhone that will blend so nicely with your Apple computers? :)

You'll love it. i like my older version very well. Especially around here were free wi-fi is easy to find.

i knew i wasn't in the PNW anymore when i was visiting jeebietree because there weren't 2 Starbucks on every block and free wi-fi was not to be found.

Here's where I cause you pain.

You mean a hack hacker plot? Or just simply that it's a hacker plot at all?

:)

The plot has that "we are going to throw technical bullshit at the audience feel". Suspending disbelief... sure I can do it, but several times it was just too much. Nokia must have put some cash upfront for their device to be the "lets go hack the satellite" system phone.

i still like the 1990's Hackers film :)

I bought a 770 in December 2005 that arrived in January. It's great for the application I bought it for (browsing a home automation web site) and is also great for browsing PDF documents.

Unfortunately, about two weeks after I bought it, the display started intermittently flickering (mostly on greys, but visibly on all colours). The flickering was slight at first, but after a few days it could get as bad as the whole screen flickering, quite badly.
